RingCentral - Pickup Calls For Another Employee
If you would like to be able to answer calls for another employee from your own phone when they aren't at their desk, you can setup call pickup so that you can answer them from your own phone by just pressing the speed dial for that employee when their phone is ringing.
For instance, Alice and Bob both work as service advisors and sit close enough that they can hear each others' phones. If Alice's phone rings while she is away from her desk, Bob can answer her call from his own phone by just pressing the speed dial for Alice from his phone when her phone starts to ring. Alice can do the same for Bob.
To enable call pickup, you will need to add them to your speed dial, enable the call pickup feature, and then the person whose calls you want to answer will need to give you permission to pickup their calls. The below instructions will walk you through the setup.
These instructions will make it so Bob can pickup Alice's calls. If they both want to pickup each others' calls, the instructions would have to be followed again, but flipping the instructions for Alice and Bob around.
