PhishAlert - Reporting Suspicious Emails
Never click on links or open attachments from suspicious emails.
Hackers frequently send emails to unsuspecting people, often posing as legitimate organizations, where they try to get you to reveal sensitive information or click on links or attachments that could give the attacker access to your system, bank account, or more.
If you receive a suspicious email, stop and report it to the IT Security Team so that they can review the email and let you know if it is safe or not.
The steps below outline how you can report a suspicious email to the Billion Automotive IT Security team for review:
- Open the email.
- Click on the Phish Alert button on the grey bar that separates the email header from the body of the message (see first image below).
- A message pops up to have you verify you want to report the email. Click the Phish Alert button to send the email to the IT department for review (see 2nd image below.)
- A member of the IT Security team will review the message and let you know if the email is safe.
