Credit Card Machine Error: Communications Error
This error indicates that the credit card machine is having trouble connecting to the bank's server. This could be an issue with the internet connection, or with the credit card machine itself. To resolve this issue, try the steps below.
- Unplug the power to the credit card machine.
- Unplug the power to the CradlePoint device (see image below).
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power in to the Cradlepoint.
- Wait at least 3 minutes.
- Plug the power back in to the credit card machine.
- Try another transaction. If you are still getting an error, contact Billion IT Support at 605.373.6900 (Ext. 60-6900).
