Cisco AnyConnect VPN - Tutorial
This tutorial is to guide you when connecting to a Billion network from a non-Billion network using Cisco AnyConnect. This ensures your files and folders are readily available upon login.
Note: If you are on any Billion property, you will not need to use VPN to connect to Billion's network.
How to connect to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN at the login screen
1. Make sure you are connected to the internet. If not, select the appropriate wireless network and enter any needed credentials to connect.
2. Once connected, from the login windows screen, select the button on the bottom right that looks like this:

3. Cisco AnyConnect VPN window will pop up. Click Connect, and you will be prompted to enter your Billion credentials.

4. You can choose from two methods to complete the multifactor authentication process.
- Method 1: Mobile Phone Call
- Method 2: Duo Mobile App on Cellphone
Method 1: Mobile Phone Call
On the Cisco AnyConnect window enter your Billion username (first.last) and password. For Second Password, type the word "phone" as shown below then click OK.

Note: You will need to authenticate with DUO using your cellphone.
- You will receive a call to the number you registered with Duo.
- Answer the call and follow the instructions.
- Once this is complete, the AnyConnect window will disappear, and you can move on.
If you originally registered your Ring Central number with Duo, please call the Billion Helpdesk, and have this number changed to your cellphone number. You will not be able to authenticate with the VPN from a non-Billion site using your desk phone.
Method 2: Duo Mobile App on Cellphone
Note: You will need to have the Duo Mobile App downloaded on your phone to use this method. If you do not, please call the Billion Helpdesk, and we can send you the installation link.
On the Cisco AnyConnect window enter your Billion username (first.last) and password. For Second Password, open your Duo Mobile app on your cellphone, there will be a code presented in the app, type that code in the Second Password field as shown below, then click OK

If authentication is successful, from the login screen, you will notice a new icon on the bottom right that looks like this:

5. Type in your Billion password one final time and hit login.

That's it! You have successfully connected to VPN before login.
